TREEO Cooling wins GOLD! 🏆
On May 14th, 2024, the Rat für Formgebung (German Design Council) awarded TREEO Cooling as a GOLD Winner of the German Innovation Awards 2024, together with our partner Intuity Media Lab.
TREEO Cooling is an epochal shift in the voluntary carbon market and against climate change. Based on a rigorous scientific methodology, our approach measures the real CO2 sequestered, tree by tree, year by year, for fully transparent, traceable nature-based CO₂ removals with a single-tree monitoring approach. Together with scientists, certifiers, and other important partners, we worked together to create a holistic model that granted us this award.
Take it from the Jury’s Statement:
“Trees are ideal for naturally converting CO2 from the atmosphere into carbon and binding it over many years. However, the problem for private emissions trading with such certificates has so far been not only to accurately record stored CO2 quantities, but also to be able to guarantee that the exact amount of biomass paid for remains sequestered in the long term. This is precisely what the company TREEO offers with its revolutionary single-tree monitoring approach, in which every single tree in an area is recorded in a cloud, making the amount of biomass completely transparent and traceable. A first truly convincing standard that promises to make a ground-breaking difference in the global assessment of carbon offsets.”

By ensuring the longevity and health of each tree, we foster biodiversity, support local communities and ecosystems, and open up new avenues for sustainable economic development.
Winning this award highlights the importance of our work in creating products that not only lead the market but also enrich lives and foster a sustainable future.
