TREEO Account Deletion Request

Your privacy is important to us.

At TREEO, we understand the importance of your personal data and are committed to ensuring its confidentiality and security. If you decide to delete your TREEO account, please follow the instructions below carefully to understand the process and what it entails for your data.

How to Request Account Deletion

You can request the deletion of your TREEO account and associated data directly from your mobile device or through our app. Here are the steps for both methods:

Via the TREEO App:

  1. Open the TREEO app on your device.
  2. Tap on the settings (cogwheel) icon located at the top right corner of the app.
  3. Locate the "Delete My Account" option and click it.
  4. A caution message will be displayed, informing you of the consequences of deleting your account. Please read this message carefully.
  5. If you are sure you want to delete your account and decide to proceed, click the "Delete" button.
  6. Upon confirmation, your account will be deleted, and you will be automatically logged out of the TREEO services.

Via the Google Play Store ‘Data Safety’  section:

  1. On the Google Play Store app, search for the TREEO app and click ‘See details’ on Data Safety. At the bottom of the page, under security practices, you will be presented with a link that initiates the deletion process. 
  2. This link will redirect you to a page that prominently features steps to request your account deletion.
  3. Access the above link from a device with the TREEO app installed, you'll receive a caution about proceeding with account deletion. This is to ensure you are aware of the deletion process and its repercussions.

Data Deletion Details

Upon deletion of your account, the following data associated with your account will be permanently deleted:

  • Phone number
  • Names
  • Email address

After your account is deleted, you will not be able to log in or access any TREEO services with the deleted account credentials. Any further attempts to log in will indicate that the account does not exist. Should you wish to use TREEO services again, you will need to register afresh.

Exceptions:

Data Collected Under Contract: Data collected under a contract with tree planting organizations, such as tree measurements, will not be deleted with your account. This data is retained according to the contractual agreement between Fairventures Digital GmbH and the respective tree-planting organization.

Demo Accounts: Data associated with demo accounts will be deleted as per this request.
